I enjoyed it. Sometimes I like over the top stuff. Sometimes the over the top stuff goes over the top and then it’s to much.

I really enjoyed the latest episode actually. The Mongolia Special.

Also, this is cool:

I think this season has been the best yet. I know they are getting rid of the tent, but I do like the conversation street they do, when it is not over the top and like the News was on Top Gear.

The bmw flyby was amazing! Imagine the timing being just right for that all to happen.

But yes I laughed out loud a couple times on the Mongolian episode. Literally just starting laughing.

Watched the final episode of the season last night. Not going to give any spoilers in case anyone cares, but it was weird to see Clarkson cry.

I haven't watched any of this season yet, probably going to plow through it when I'm out on leave with the baby.

Worth it. By far the best season. Seriously.

Agreed. Though I think the new format without the tent will work, I will still miss some of the reviews and track times. I did like conversation street, when it was more like the News was on Top Gear.

ha! that is pretty cool.

this.

imo variety is the key for them. We'll have to wait and see if the no tent at all thing will work or become to repetitive like previous episodes have gotten. I think if they mix it up a bit when they have the content for it would be nice.

I also liked the tent and conversation street. At times that was the most natural they seemed to get.

that's why people like their show and not the knock offs. it's the personalities of the hosts and their interactions that draw everyone.

Actually, that was what turned me off of them towards the end of their Top Gear stay. They stopped being natural and way overplayed it. Became charicatures of themselves. I actually liked Top Gear USA towards the end. They started to really come into their own.

agreed but I still wasn't a fan of the USA version. then again I didn't get into Top Gear until a couple of years ago when it would come on while I was getting ready to go to the gym on Saturday mornings.

"hey guys, just be yourselves."

I must have missed the last bit of the original Top Gear. I never saw the sorta forced things with the fake stunts etc until this series. I was like, "wtf? I guess that's funny but this isn't Super Dave.". :p

Finished up the season finally. Pretty good for sure. Will miss the tent. And man I love the Sierra Cosworth - I used to drool over that car as I drove the baby brother of it. Loved watching Abbie flog it around the track. Brought back a lot of memories of watching it race.

Side note - kind of hope they keep Abbie around.

I hope so too. It would be nice to have her help out on the big adventures, but since she is a racer not sure how much free time should would have around her other obligations.

She went on their Azerbaijan special. So there's a chance!

I wish they had done more with her on camera. I'd like to see her in a race against Sabine Schmitz.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.
