Re: Avalanche
So scanned 27 modules today.
Found 4 codes
Mass (gonna get some cleaner tomorrow)
The two rear o2s
The cataytic converter
A servo in the hvac system that is prob the easiest to change.
The truck seems to run just fine so I dont think the mass is bad but if so its 100 bucks.

Re: Avalanche
If you buy an aftermarket MAS at an auto parts store then chances are it will make it run worse. Grab a MAS off a junkyard car if you're going to change it.

This. Also it's hard to find a bolt on converter that fits and is quality

Re: Avalanche
The ride home none of the codes came back. The cat only showed up after driving on the highway and slowing down again anyways. But Im just curious if some of those were old. The hvac one doesnt trip a check engine light and wouldnt reset so Im sure its still bad.

Re: Avalanche
Well knock on wood no check engine light has come back, I did haul half a scoop of river rock today and unloaded it on our boat ramp.
When cleaning out there is a flapper part between the bed, dont know what its function is as its not a seal, has 4 or 6 bolts all tabs broke. Debating on replacing or not.

Re: Avalanche
I think that's a plastic panel that just keeps stuff from falling into the gap between the rear seat backs and the bed.

I think your right. It stayed when I did haul a bunch of stuff with midgate down so Im not gonna worry about it right now. Hauled a bunch of big wood off the beach and burned it last night. I easily have 3 or 4 more loads of that.

Why disposable liner?
Why won't something like a tarp work?

Re: Avalanche
Also, ones I have access to are 2 mil thick and doesn't look like I have ones that would be wide enough. Length and height looks good, but not width.

Re: Avalanche
The disposable liners I have access to are designed to go into industrial laundry carts so they would work if the avalanche bed was smaller.
You could also buy a WM Bagster - https://www.homedepot.com/p/WM-Bagster- ... /202228840 - and just reuse it if needed.

Re: Avalanche
Hauled a half scoop of dirt today to put in right at the front walk way where it has settled. Probably could use a lot more but this will do this year. Cleaning up dirt is way worse than stone. Dirt becomes mud, cant get behind it to just spray out.
Yeah gonna have to start using a tarp.
Next I need to get around back of the house where the rain comes off the hill. I need to dig a little out, lay a pipe, cover in rocks, then I can cover in dirt. Gonna be a long day on that one.
How are you liking the 4wd?
So as you know the driveway is crazy. So its left in auto 4wd. Backing into the the driveway if even a little wet the rear diff will lock and the 4wd locks shortly after. Leaving the driveway usually the rear diff doesnt lock but feels like the 4wd does engage.
I had. 2000 blazer with the same 4wd set up, I enjoyed it. I am curious how the longer than Humvee wheel base will effect the vehicle in snow.
