They have some nice trucks for good prices. Might have to take the drive up there soon. Just wonder what kind of condition they are in.

I really prefer the interior redesign they did in 2015.
Any reason why I shouldn't look at the 2015+ over the 2011-2014?

Not really, the aluminum body is lighter but tends to cost more for damage repairs so it might cost more to insure.

Interiors are a wash IMO. Doors and steering wheel are improved, but the dash is the same. Center console has those less effective vents, and everything is more cluttered. They are on the same playing field. I actually like my seats better in the 2011 too.

That is personal preference. I much prefer the looks of the interior and exterior of the 2015+. Just wondering if any other difference besides looks?

2015 is when they introduced the new powertrains, like the 2.7L TT V6. That's when they went aluminum too like was said previously.

But no reason to avoid the 2015+, correct?

Spoke with insurance. Doesn't matter what truck I would get, all about same payment. Within a couple bucks of each other - 2012 Raptor, 2014 F-150, or 2017 F-150. All pretty much the same.

Re: Ford - Edumacate me
Might try and go take a look at these. I know they are both 2013, but I can get a higher end, albeit not as nice looking, interior/package if I go with them vs the 2015 and newer. One has the 5.0 (white), the other the 3.5 (black). The white one is one owner, but carfax doesn't show much. Black one has a few owners, but shows a lot of service done at a Ford dealer. Prefer the black for color/package, but white for the engine. Doubt I will get either one right now, but figured I can go take a look if I have time.

Re: Ford - Edumacate me
For my money I'd buy the lower mile white one. More reliable engine lower miles, one owner.

Re: Ford - Edumacate me
Wife really wants me to stay under $20k but keep it at least 10 years. So going to see if I can find one for that with under 100k on it.

Re: Ford - Edumacate me
Finding a few with those parameters. Or close to 20k at least. Would prefer the Lariat trim if I can find one in the price range.
But just a quick search gave me these:
$22k - https://www.carrchevrolet.com/used/Ford ... 12af2c.htm
$16k but over 100k - https://www.pdxmotors.com/2012_Ford_F15 ... 210493.veh
$19k, 2011, 58k on it, but BROWN - https://www.oregonhyundai.com/used/Ford ... 3ea3f1.htm
$20k but don't trust the dealer - https://www.lot99llc.com/vehicle-detail ... 85477327a1
$20k - https://www.dickhannahtoyota.com/for-sa ... t-203404t/
$22k - https://www.newporttoyota.com/used-Newp ... F0EFA70713
$21k - https://www.pdxautomart.com/vehicle-det ... 944cca7a73
Figured I can probably go up to $22k and talk them down to $20k or less.

Re: Ford - Edumacate me
I really don't understand that brown or the thinking behind it. I don't know anyone who finds it appealing.
