I thought the same thing when I bought it, but It doesn't fit a LHD dash. The lenses are angled too. So you'd need to make a new LHD oriented black trim piece, and then drill some holes in a LHD lens for the clock buttons.

They do make a LHD clock unit for the European market, but those things are virtually impossible to find.

I'll take some pictures tonight.

How’s the wiring on it? Anything different than RHD?

It's been a while since I looked. If I remember correctly, the connector is the same but the pinout is a little different. But that connector has huge pins, so it's easy to move them around.

It looks like I might have thrown out the leftover parts from the LHD cluster. That's kind of a bummer. I do have the GTO cluster though.

I tried it in the dash again and it just doesn't quite fit. There's gaps around the edges. I guess it could also be a 1G vs 2G thing. I don't remember what year car it came out of.

You are probably right that the shrouds are angled the opposite way of the LHD ones. That'd make sense. I thought the angles were in the dash itself, but the holes also have a slight extra angle to them, so the lenses and shrouds would also to match.

Harness shipped already today. Damn, they were fast! Should have it Saturday.

Ordered 3 daylight-viewable 3.5" TFT LCD panels with the GPU modules on them, ready to go. Should be fun. Playing with their screen designer and the dev kit stuff now.

Harness. Just need to grab the heat gun and shrink the shrink tubing in place and wrap it up in harness tape. I'll have to remove my LCDBC from the car and wire up a few AEMnet connectors and should be good to go. Oh, and switch over to the 1G CAS setup.

1G CAS modified. I might be missing the connector to patch into the factory cam angle sensor harness connector, but should be easy to get.

Next steps: remove AEM series 2, remove LCDBC, temporarily install center vent gauge plate with AEMnet gauge until I get my LCD gauges developed. Hook up the Infinity, disconnect injector resistor bypass plug, test/set base timing, then reinstall plug and see if it'll start up.

1G CAS successfully mounted, and conversion harness constructed. AEM Series 2 removed from the car. Still need to take out LCDBC and add back in the vent gauge mount with AEMnet gauge (until I get my new gauges working well enough). I need to put some new connectors on the widebands' AEMnet wires, and then should be good to flash and start testing the Infinity.

Obviously, but it wouldn't be as interesting if the cover was on.

I got the Infinity in the car today. Initial tests look good, but I have the fuel pump disabled for now until I can verify the timing. I need someone to crank it over for me while I watch with the timing light, and it seems like my wife isn't in the mood for that today. I guess I can recruit my son, if necessary.

LCDBC out
AEMnet Gauge in
Wideband connected via AEMnet
Oil pressure sensor hooked up and working (20 psi during cranking)

So far, so good. Now all the detail work ahead and tuning.

Had my son crank the car over for me while I used the timing light to set/verify timing. Works perfect, as far as I can tell with the Infinity set to 12 crank teeth and 1 cam tooth. I did have to flip the trigger disc over to get the timing in the correct window (I had guessed at where the actual IR sensors are in the CAS, and guessed wrong), and ended up with a trigger offset of 12.0 degrees BTDC which is in the window of what I expected. Nice stable cranking timing, at least.

I'm waiting on a new FPR (Fuelab mini) as my old Aeromotive seems to be leaking and makes some funny noises when the pump initially primes. Easier to just replace it than mess with it at this point, as it is like 19 years old. The smaller one will fit better in the spot I have also.

Next steps: de-pin the power feeds for the IAC harness (Infinity drives it bi-polar, so doesn't need the +12v from the harness), put my intake parts back on (was off to mount a few things properly). Install new FPR. Test for fuel leaks. Then see if the Infinity will fire it up. I have it set with my motor at 3.5L, but not sure it is exactly there (Pampena 6G74 crank stroker in a 6G72). Close should be okay, as I have to adjust the VE table anyways, which should effectively map out any error I might have in the displacement.

If anyone has a better displacement number from Pampena that I haven't seen, I can plug that in easy enough.
