It was the axle nut. No more clicking.
Aa for mpg, my wrangler used to get around 10 mpg, mustang got about 12 or so.

Got these bad boys off craigslist for cheap. They were still in their original OEM packaging.

Now I think the only thing left I want to do is swap out the rear camera. It is el sucko.
Seriously though. It is really bad. Can't see anything if the sun is reflecting off the rear of the car and can't see anything at night. At all.

Think I am going to just go ahead and buy this:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00 ... 0HTI&psc=1
Tired of the shitty back up camera on there now. Starting in 2014 they used a better camera that is a drop in replacement. So just need to un-clip the rear bumper and swap them out.

I was talking to someone who owned a Tesla about their charging port breaking. He said no tow truck driver would take it anywhere and he had to call Tesla to have a person come fix it at his house. Lol

What is wrong with the car is covered under the Voltec warranty. Pick it up tomorrow. Will find out what went wrong tomorrow when I get it.

Ended up being low fluid. Probably from the air bubble thing. They pressure tested the system and checked everything out. No leaks. Topped it off and cleared codes.

Took off all the plasti dip a few weeks ago. I think I prefer it without now.
Only thing I might redo is the bowties, but I am starting to like the chrome wheels over them blacked out.

Re: My new daily
Excuse the sweaty mess, but wanted to share just how tight I fit in the Volt. This was post workout tonight.

As you can see I'm up against the pillar/door and have about an inch of head room left. My hair rubs on the ceiling. What is not pictured is my legs. Right leg when on gas pedal is up against the center console and with the steering wheel up and out all the way i have about 2 inches to spare at most. When I hit the brake my knee/thigh usually bumps the steering wheel unless I angle my leg in weird. Left leg knee is between the steering wheel and the door. Can't put it past the wheel because of the dummy pedal thing.
So yes, very tight fit. But the seat itself is comfy so I deal with it for the 110-115 mpg average. However can only last maybe 1.5 hours at most before I need to get out and stretch.

Re: My new daily
So I would like to eventually get something I fit better in. Hardest part is the mpg. Between gas and electric I spend about $60 a month to drive 1000 miles. At an average of $3 a gallon that equates to 20 gallons a month. In order to spend only $60 a month I'd need to average 50 mpg in something more comfortable. That is not something that you can buy right now. That is one of my current dilemmas.
Re: My new daily
Seems like a big ol' Caddy is in your future, if you can swing the gas.

It's one of the reasons I keep looking at the avalanche. Just the shitty mpg really has kept me from making the swap. Lol

Re: My new daily
I keep looking up different vehicles to find something that has more shoulder and hip room than the Volt. Can find some things here and there that may offer 1-2 more inches, which isn't much. Unless I look at full-size SUVs and trucks. Then we are talking close to 5+ more inches. That would be so nice. It is the MPG that kills me.
HOWEVER, based on current gas prices, full-size mpg, and what I pay for the Volt + gas/electric, if I could find something for under $15k then I would break even or save each month.

Re: My new daily
Going to head over to Carmax tonight, see what they would offer me on the Volt, and test drive/sit in a couple things.
Would prefer to stick with GM but might look at the 5th gen Ford Explorer as well. They have a decent interior size and are a lot cheaper than a full-size GM of similar years.
