Seems pretty cheap, and the video quality is way better than the factory PDR.

I'm just a fan of fully integrated solutions. I'm looking at it from the perspective of spending ~$1400 to get Android Auto, so why not spent another $200? to do the full PDR. Assuming it's possible, of course.

Who knows. Half the fun for me is just figuring out how it works.

After the software update to the PDR, the video quality improved quite a bit. Before it was kind of fuzzy and colors seemed washed out. Looks pretty good, now. But it is only 720P (1280x720 30 fps). 1080P or 4K would obviously be substantially better.

Found out today the PDR has its own dedicated, expensive module hidden somewhere inside the car. It looks like the only thing the nav has for PDR is the actual menus.

So back on the PDR topic.... :suspect2:

Can you tell me what software version you're running? It's somewhere in the PDR settings menu. Separate from the HMI version info.

Version: 23350846AT 0.1
Cal Version: 23119739 AA

I think that's the one that I flashed myself because my dealer was too stupid to get it done while I had it in.

Oh really....

You don't still happen to have those files, do you?

I picked up a 2015 PDR that went into a coma after a failed firmware update. I can only get 2016 firmware with my current SPS subscriptions. I'll post details to my thread later.

I'll set up an FTP account and PM it to you.

The 2016 files I downloaded totaled ~92MB. I wonder what the difference is?

So first "major" service today. I was getting the A8 "shuddering" when cruising at highway speeds when it switches to V4 mode. I'm out of warranty now, so it was $650 for them to flush out all the transmission fluid and refill with some newer Mobil 1 transmission fluid that is supposed to be better. Fun times.

I could've done it myself, obviously, but I'm short on time to do such things now. Can't wait to get the C8 hopefully sometime soon.

Don't you need a special pump and recovery unit to flush out a trans? I honestly don't know. I was just going to pay to have it done on the silver Hummer.

According to the work order, they dropped the trans pan and reinstalled, filled the trans with 8 quarts of fluid, put it through all the gears, and repeated the process three times.

That I could've done, but again - takes time to do it. Also sounds somewhat messy.

$210 for the transmission fluid.

Probably just trade it in, unless someone is interested in it.

Well, I haven't got a number from the dealer on what they'd give me - so you never know.

Last time I checked KBB on mine, it was 33-35k. Dunno if I got a little bump for being a manual or not. Yours is a 3LT vs my 2LT, so that'll probably help.

You know it’s gotta be low enough they make money but high enough that you don’t want to deal with the hassle of selling it yourself.

Isn’t there also something to do with taxes if you trade in a vehicle that makes the one your buying less?

Either way I would be really curious what they offer you, not because I can afford one but because of what it is and how much it was/is now.

I'm thinking mine will probalby be in the $45k range for trade. It has all the goodies on it (magride, e-diff, Z51, transparent roof, A8, etc).
