Like all stubborn problems, it can be solved with money. Or explosives, but we're not to that point. Yet

I think I have a plan...[/quote]

Does your plan involve a hammer?

For the ECU, no. For the hood, maybe

This popped up locally.

https://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/d ... 98509.html

I ran the VIN through ASA. Says it's "Kensington Gray Metallic" ?

I think it'd be similar to this:

If I wasn't so far behind on my engine swap, I'd be half tempted to look into it and see if it's worth buying for the body.

I'm not going to waste his time. I've got too many spare parts as it is. I'll just keep going with what I have.

It's funny because my eventual plan is to paint the truck gray

I love this sorta stuff. Jeff learns Russian or uses google translate like a boss to find a part nearly none of us could for cheap. Lol.

Mail order bride would also be bad ass but a different thread.

MMCFlash. I was resisting buying it because I thought it was close to $350. Turns out it's come down quite a bit from that point. It also helps when you buy it direct from Russia rather than going through Hamish at EvoScan.

It's basically a physical security key to keep people from pirating the software.

You still edit the files with ECUFlash, and use the Tactrix hardware. This is just the actual reading and writing portion of the software that Tactrix couldn't bother to get working properly.

So you're jumping back into the programming side of the older Mitsu ECU's? I take its for the 2000-2004? Will it work on earlier ones like the 98-99?
