It was a cold and cloudy day, it is actually a metallic bronze.

Never do metallics under a hood. You never get good light and they always look like shit.

Still doing the same thing.

My wideband reads lean as lean can be. The one o2 is like it’s not reading again. I don’t know if I messed up the wiring or not but that’s my first suspect.

This blows.

Talked to others that said plugs as well. Said the rich carbon dries and hardens and makes it really run like crap.

If the plugs were fouled, it would run rich because the fuel in the chamber wouldn't be burning all the way.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

That’s what I thought. Steve in the other thread disagrees. Apparently it just pushes air out.

Maybe he will post up with a better explanation.

Fouled plugs will read lean on the wideband as they won't ignite the mixture, therefore wideband sees too much oxygen in the exhaust.

Changed all the plugs, waiting on the wife so I can go for a test drive.

Well plugs didn’t change shit.

Going lean, running rich.

I take it the ptu not coil pack throw a code, minus using a tester I don’t have, anyway to identify if those could be the issue?

Not the coil pack, had a spare one that’s easy enough to swap and test.

Unplugged the rear o2 as that’s what I changed in the harness.

No change.

Unplugged the iac and it idled better but still same issue.

It’s not wanting to get down and idle under a grand, wants to stay up around 2. Wideband still pegs lean, still smells like it’s running rich.

High idle
Lean readings
Running rich

What I’m the bloody hell.

You don't need to flash. Just verify what is in the ECU is what is in your last tune.

I’m putting it in closed loop in hopes to fix this stupid rich issue.

I don't understand what you mean by this...I don't remember being able to disable closed loop with ECU Flash...

I'm pretty sure there's a closed loop disable bit toggle.

Regardless, that's not going to fix the problem. The car won't go into closed loop until it hits operating temperature anyway. If it's running pig rich at cold start and idle, then something else is wrong.

It’s where I switched those ecu pins. Before it was only reading one o2 and not the correct bank.

I gave it both and something is very wrong with it.
