That ford reminds me a ranchero lol. That land rover would be cool but to try and put that back together would be a nightmare and it went for 6k on eBay.

One of one in North America? And a V12 Toyota? Say what?!?

1995 Callaway Camaro C8 Supernatural 400 6-Speed - http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-c ... 00-camaro/
The front end of these remind me of a catfish or something. Think I almost prefer the stock Camaro front.

Because NSX.

Seeing the NSX reminds me of seeing one last year at a gas station. I saw him pull in and I was admiring it for a moment, then I see him pull up to a pump, back up and pull to another pump.

The pump the was avoiding didn't have 87 or 89, only 93 and he AVOIDED it. I just shook my head and got in my vehicle and left.

According to fueleconomy.gov 91 takes premium.

EDIT: Just to verify I Googled further and the 91 service manual verifies it takes premium fuel.

Page 36 is where it is to listed.

It might be something like the 3s where the early gauge bezels don't say premium fuel, but that doesn't mean it's not required.

Had a friend with an svx and his manual called for 91. Well in tn there are very few 91 oct pumps. So he would put 89 half and 93 half to get that. Lol he was an engineer and a cheap skate.

So he saved what...$2-3 on a tank of gas? He'll have a luxurious retirement all buttoned up in no time

If I did that with the Grand Prix at current price levels I'd save 1.95 if I was completely empty. Soooooo not worth the trouble.

If you can't afford to fill it up with premium, don't buy a performance-oriented car.

Exactly.

Playing devil's advocate though, some people just don't get it. We're car enthusiasts. We're a bit more clued in than most. I mentioned snow tires at work once, and a couple people looked at me like I had two heads. "Whaaa? You have special winter tires ? How silly..." I've had to fight off a couple of smart ass remarks about my Audi at work, because some people were convinced that it was brand new. It cost less than our one sales guy's Genesis sedan, and it was almost certainly cheaper than the brand new Highlander another sales person just bought. But I'm the guy with the "fancy, expensive car".

Some people buy a performance car because it 'looks cool' or for perceived status. They do not know and more importantly, absolutely do not care, how it works and why. A lot of people look at their car and driving it in the same way they look at their dishwasher. It's a chore, that has to be done whether you like it or not, and it should be as cheap as possible. As long as it starts and the radio works, they have zero fucks to give.

So it's maybe not even about trying to save a couple bucks on a tank, but that they see it as some kind of scam and they're trying not to 'fall for it'.

I think the most expensive vehicles we have at work are fully loaded trucks. They get sneaky expensive.

And hence why I will not drive a nice car to coach in. Most people are price stupid and when they see a car and think it's nicer than what they drive, then they will have a problem paying to have their kid swim there.
