The stealth loves Falken Azenis!

Post by Twin-Turbo »

I just went on a spirited drive, and honestly, these tires are the best mod I have ever done (if you can consider it a modification)

It handles like a different beast, and just grips the road. I try to break it loose and it doesn't want to, which rocks because I am not a very good driver yet, so I feel safer that I have a bigger margin of error. I mean, my old fucked all season kumhos had to be the worst tires known to mankind.

I did an AWD launch, and with the old kumhos I could get them to spin. Now my clutch just slips  which is kinda gay, but what ever. When it catches it pulls like a mother fucker. I love this fucking car.

Yeah, Azenis are great tires for such a cheap price. Only problem is how fast they wear...

Next time try the Nitto NT555R2 with the road race option...stickiest tires I could find for my Z06...was difficult to break the rear end loose with 400RWHP!

Tires should always be your first mod if you dont like the way your car handles. I love it when people spend all kinds of money on vertical and horizontal suspension pieces and yet they keep stock or some no name brand A/S tires. The only thing i have done in terms of handling on my car is some Potenza RE750's while not on the same grip levels of the falkens it was a major improvement over the stock Michelin XGT Z4 (yes my car had stock OEM tires on it when i bought it :eek :)

I love the Falkens. I keep a set of FK452's on mine since it does see a bit of snow every year.

God, I just went on such a nice drive. It's the perfect turbo weather. I should hit up Mt.Vernon or Ophir. Auburn Folsom is real nice too!

/me wishes his vr-4 was running so he could brag about the tires on it.

But alas those tires (and wheels) are on the SL for now and I don't push the SL at all in the corners. It's just no fun in a FWD car, plus it's my DD for now and I want it to last as well.
/me wishes his vr-4 was running so he could brag about the tires on it.
You're not alone, but I like to keep a nice set of tires on the base none the less.

It doesn't hurt to push it every now and then.
