Seriously. Sunset Porsche of Beaverton must be having a fire sale on these things. I know they'e the new hotness and all, but c'mon people, they're just boxter coupes! Performance is close to a Carrera for about $10k less, but the interior isn't anywhere near as nice, and to go from "close to Carrera" all the way to "equal to Carrera" you're going to chew up that $10k savings anyway!

Not impressed. Just another "can't afford a real Porsche" mid-range throwaway, just like its roadster brother.

I'd rather have a restored 3/S than that poot of a car.

I bet all the 996 and 997 owners laugh at you.

I would.

Boxsters and Caymans suck. :p

Hell, even S2000's are nicer than Boxters and until recently were just as fast (Boxters had an engine upgrade last year). A C6 (non-Z06) will wipe its ass with a Cayman for the same price, *and* gives you a better interior.

Okay, that's enough ranting from me. I'm just getting sick of seeing new Cayman after new Cayman rolling down the roads around here. Every time Porsche starts offering a new "low-end" model, they end up clogging the roads.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll take a blue Cayman S over any 3S, up to and including Ray's car.

C6s are another story however...

I'm just elitist when it comes to elite vehicles. :D

When I see a Porsche coming, I want to see a real supercar - not some low-end douchemobile. (most of these guys *are* douches...but not all)

We don't have too many of them here in Ct, I've only seen a handful of them. Boxters we have everywhere though, I think I see at least 4 a day.

I like them. But for the same amount of money, I would without a doubt take a Lotus Exige over a Cayman S. Those cars (Exige) are just pure sex.

2007 Lotus Exige S

Options:
- Arctic Silver Metallic Paint (not in the pic)
- Torsion LSD with ECU modulated traction control
- Touring Pack - Insulated Soft Top, Full Leather Seat and Door Trim, Upgraded Stereo System, Stowage Net, Additional Sound Insulation and Full Carpet Set
- Starshield
- $65k delivered

At 2077 lbs and 0-60 4.1 sec, it kicks the crap out of the Cayman S. Very tempting... I wonder how many people actually drive a POS daily driver and have a nice car for weekends and some weekdays  Although I think it appeals more to the emotional side than my logical side. Oh well, a new vehicle is probably a couple of years away anyways :p

Dead serious. I'd like to try to get 10, but I think that's a fantasy :(

I took a beating on my car's value, but it was worth it to ditch the damn thing and get something that wouldn't kill me in gas and maintenance.

Getting a job that requires driving for nine hours straight is probably the best thing I ever did for myself. It pushed me over the edge into getting rid of my VR-4.

Even oil changes in the S2k are easier.

But I would sell your momma for an Exige.

There's even a Lotus dealer three block from where I'm sitting. :p

Eeeesh. Got some low standards around here. :D

It's the second-lowest of the low-end. Only one step up from a Boxster (which is the lowest), and that's only because it's a coupe.

No you not can has bucket. Not yours. :nono:

BTW, saw a total of three 997 turbos today. Cured my anti-Cayman angst. :D

Now THAT is a Porsche to be proud of.

Cayman is for posers. :p
