Redline 10w30 in the engine and Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 in the gearbox has made my S2k sooooooo happy. Revs even faster than it used to, has a bit more torque, shifts are liquid-smooth and most of the gear chatter is simply gone.
Even after nine solid hours of driving - both city and highway miles - the car is still as smooth and steady as it was when it first warmed up.
Car is so happy that the back end broke loose several times today.
Got better MPG as well. It's amazing how using quality oils can make a machine run the way it's supposed to.
Thanks for the help in changing the oil Steve. This car has never been happier. Now I just need to change out the rear diff fluid. Bought a 23mm wrench, and already had a 24mm socket. Of course you've got my drain pan, so we'll have to figure something out.
