Re: started bodywork
Functional, or just bumps on top of the roof? Roof boobs?
I could use a functional Gurney Bump in my roof, if I hit a big bump in the road my head hits the roof, and there's no way I can use my usual seating position when I'm wearing a helmet.

not bad for a victory doing that to my car and then hitting the ground at that speed.

Re: started bodywork
Oh, I thought you had a stock hood. Lightweight hood - hood pins = double-bubble roof mod

see pic 1. the hood wasnt at fault. had it been a stock hood i likely would have been knocked out and wrecked the car.

Dang, first time I've seen pics of the hood after the fact, that really held up well. :impressed:
The roof is looking good. So, are you staying red or going two tone? I never read your final decision from your thread.

Re: started bodywork
When my first CF hood flew off it came off the driver side hinge first and then whipped past the windshield towards the passenger side. It ripped off my passenger side mirror and went flying about 50' in the air. This happened at the 60' mark at the track. I forgot to latch the hood all the way down and the safety latch wasn't enough to keep it from flying up.
When my cianci hood flew up (because my buddy didn't put my hood pins back in after dicking around with my car) it busted my windshield since it was FG and heavy. CF rocks for not breaking windshields haha.

Double bubble for the win. If it happens again, you might not get hit in the head
John, nice edit, haha.

Re: started bodywork
When I was getting my car ready for OC I left my house and got about the mile down the road before I realized my hood wasn't even latched let alone the hoodpins in. Luckily the car was running like ass and I didn't get on it...I only got it up to around 60. Still have no idea how the safety latch held it.

Re: started bodywork
That viper scoop would probably not work out so well compared to an OEM CF hood. I still have the hood and it's ready for the next snow fall haha.
