are we dyno racing now? He made 270 awhp at 8 psi and 360 awhp at 16 psi. I think that's a decent increase considering we started the day at 230 awhp with just some basic s-afc settings. You're comparing 15G's to 13G's... I don't see how that is going to work.

The most a 9b car has made on my dyno is 325 awhp with only a downpipe on it, no cat-back exhaust. I may strap kevin's car back down and disconnect his exhaust to see what kind of power we make then. I will market it as a GZP cutout :p
thats a fairly generous dyno you got there. 325awhp with a dp/no catback. can i dyno at your place?

A healthy stock car will make that kind of power. I've had some come on at make 280 awhp at 18 psi with a stock exhaust (only ran that much boost because the customer really wanted to... not under my advice). A healthy stock 2nd gen will make about 250 awhp and a healthy 1st gen will make close to 240 awhp... that was from stock cars with less then 60k miles on them. The 325 awhp was on Ryan's 91 stealth TT and he has about 45k miles on it and it's a really healthy engine. I believe we tuned it with 550cc injectors in it as well (I can't remember).

I really don't think my dyno reads high... it reads the same as Ray's old dyno jet. Stock 350z's will make 230-240 depending on the year. A 2.5l wrx with a STI turbo at 16 psi made 280 awhp and a stock STI made 250 awhp. A blown 98 cobra ran 11 psi w/methanol and made a measly 325 rwhp.... he was expecting 400 rwhp and got mad and left early from the dyno day haha.

They dyno definitely doesn't read high.

yeah that was my car, it had no cats, stillen downpipe, safc, 550's, and the engine has always been strong for me. the 9b's were holding 12.5-13.5 psi to redline. I was definately happy with the numbers, the runs were at 1.1 bar on 9b's.

thats very believable. he made it sound like a stock car with a downpipe/no catback. nothing else.

my 97 holds 13 to redline too. still have precats.

yea, I never dyno'd the 15G car. I don't think I've had any 15G cars on the dyno yet. I'm gonna try to get my 16G car on the dyno tonight, but probably won't get any further then a street, low throttle tune. Maybe a power tune later in the week.

I thought a boost controller was almost a required mod for these cars.

I'm confident my car will break 400 awhp with 13gs and pump gas. Shit, just replacing my driveshaft with a CFDS and dropping the catback at the same tune will probably gain an easy 20hp at the wheels.

The CFDS has to wait though. My driveshaft is pretty unbalanace right now, even with new carrier bearings. The whole thing vibrates. I also have all around solid engine mounts, which makes it worse.

If Hans has the time, we'll get in a few more pulls on the dyno, pull some timing, up the boost, run an open DP, lean it out a bit, and i'm sure i'll be even more happy with the numbers then I already am now. Hans is the man when it comes to tuning.

Here is my mod list:

I purchased almost everything from GZP, Hans hooked me up.
